“Celebrating the American Dream” was the theme of Tarrant County Commissioner Andy Nguyen’s campaign event on Sunday, August 26th at The Pearl Restaurant. Nearly three hundred of the Commissioner’s supporters attended a sold-out event in a show of support for his re-election campaign. Those in attendance were made up of a diverse group from the entire county and the state of Texas.
Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar and Massachusetts Senator Dean Tran were special guests for the event. The speakers noted what a great job Andy has done with outreach and getting more and more people interested and involved in their government. Senator Kelly Hancock served as the emcee. He reminded people how important it is to be prepared to defend a great public servant like Commissioner Nguyen in his re-election bid. Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney Sharen Wilson and Tarrant County Sheriff Bill Waybourn led the pledges to the US and Texas flags respectively. Chaplain Rich Stoglin provided the invocation and thanked God for the freedoms we are blessed with in America – the same freedoms that were celebrated during the “American Dream” event. Singer Esteban Blanco provided a resounding rendition of our national anthem.
The highlight of the evening was hearing the Commissioner share his heart, his love for America and being an American. Andy serves the people of Tarrant County Precinct 2 to protect our liberties and freedoms. He knows, first hand, from his younger years in Vietnam that we cannot take our freedom for granted. Commissioner Nguyen is committed to doing his very best each and every day to provide outstanding stewardship for all Tarrant County citizens. Please join in supporting Commissioner Nguyen’s re-election.
